Responsibility is not obedience.
It is the thoughtful balance between freedom and lawfulness.
So it began, the endless news of COVID-19. Within days everyone, everywhere knew that there was an epidemic that had started surreptitiously in China. Suddenly it was on everybody’s conscience.
Danger and fear filled the airwaves, the chatter, the mind as people became actors in their own remembered plagues and movies that prepared their visceral reaction. All levels of government along with manufacturers and military had practiced scenarios in preparation.
Leaders and participants took the training seriously and now the drama was actually happening as they were called into action. They knew the uncertainty, the risks, the great and grave challenge.
Most of all they knew how to respond. They had a responsibility and one to be shared with everyone. We as well were primed to react from the memory of our innate cellular defense.
Our initial decisions are based on fear, instinct, memory, and urgency.
Our gut reactions take over. We are hit in the face with an emergency and our heart weighs heavily upon the victim’s situation. The die is cast, and we find ourselves in a sea of prescribed actions and requirements to ourselves and those around us for survival. It invokes strong obedience to responsible action.
This responsibility is not chosen it is nevertheless chosen as necessity from within our being required by us, those around us, and those overseeing the situation.
However, responsibility requires another factor. One that is easily left by the roadside in such emergencies. That responsibility is freedom. Freedom to refrain from haste, to review from experience, to analyze the facts of the situation, and critically appraise the situation.
A historic example of this is the Plague at the Golden Gate when in 1900 the bubonic plague set off fear and anti-Asian sentiment in San Francisco. It provides a fascinating and timely examination of the relationships between cultures, business, the medical community and science. (YouTube has the series broken up into chapters.)
A prescient example is the in-depth article written by Scott Tips, the President of the National Health Federation. It was published in the Spring of 2020’s Health Freedom News magazine. “Never Has So Little Done So Much Harm to So Many” with the article subheading “The Latest Coronavirus Attack Is a Cover for Restricting Our Health Freedoms”, pp 6-13. The article is now being vindicated by researchers.
Responsibility and freedom are measures of meaning, of being, of awareness necessary to uncover the essence of the emergency and its origin, its depth, its validity. This weighs heavily upon the decision of those especially with deeper knowledge of possibilities of cause and response. Therefore, censorship is a dangerous weapon to necessary facts.
Freedom is not the opposite of lawfulness and likewise lawfulness is not the opposite of freedom. Their common foundation is responsibility. Responsibility requires the balance of the two to prevent chaos and tyranny.
Here then is the shift. Responsibility requires freedom and following the laws, lawfulness, and most important a clear true comprehension of the origin and depth of the emergency. All three come into focus when deciding action and response. This applies to many situations such as public health, national security, technological change, and environmental crises.
Responsibility is based on freedom, lawfulness, and the situation determining the true decision of a person, community or nation. Ignoring either of these factors can produce wrong decisions and wrong actions. It can easily be individualized as well.
COVID-19 is an excellent example where governmental lawfulness denied freedom creating wrong policies and a division of people. With a predetermined answer that was controversial the government sacrificed liberty and even the Rule of Law of Informed Consent.
The Government chose a path that censored and penalized criticism. Once an injection was considered a hopeful solution the lawfulness reaction morphed into a program of propaganda, devotion, and non-disclosure. Freedom was ignored and deception became politicized truth. It also divided the nation between those wary and those committed to shots and boosters.
That is when the hammer came down heavily upon freedom and all was lost under the burden of the governmental law. The origin, depth, and solutions to the emergency ended freedom and disclosure.
Where did lawfulness gain this enormous strength to overcome the balance of freedom, the controversy? The wealth of the pharmaceutical industry hid much deception and non-disclosure by force of its presumed savior of humanity’s illnesses and its lobbying financial benefits.
So, we stood mired up to our necks in a corrupt system that denied freedom and has yet to come to terms with its injustice.
Governments must make decisions during emergencies without sacrificing either freedom or the Rule of Law. How can our government do this while committed to an untrustworthy medical sector controlled by extreme corporate wealth?
COVID-19 was followed by the most egregious actions under law in the Court system as well. It acknowledged a mandated injection of an experimental genetically modified organism with known damaging effects, with total legal immunity, and an enforcement that denied freedom, parental consent, full disclosure and the Rule of Law.
This betrayal of freedom robbed and harmed many without cause by our government’s betrayal of freedom. The COVID-19 debate emphasizes the importance and protective necessities of freedom as new emergencies arise. When lawfulness overwhelms freedom then justice and truth cannot survive.
Do we need protection of medical freedom? Absolutely! We are now embarking upon the gravest of battle. It is the battle for the human body as AI bio-science seeks surveillance and approaches the realm of the health provider. Every future emergency will face greater control. Responsibility requires the protection of freedom to balance the government’s lawfulness and biosciences co-opting of our health.
That is why we must unrelentingly, without fear, pursue the enactment of the Medical Freedom Amendment. It is the one solution that truly brings the scales of justice back into our lives, which secures truth and our health into the future.
Here is the proposed 28th Amendment to the United States Constitution, the Medical Freedom Amendment.
“All people have the Right to secure their Health in the manner they choose. Congress, the President, State Legislatures and Executives, Governmental Agencies or Departments shall make no law, rule, regulation, countermeasure, executive order, emergency declaration, or enter into any treaty or international agreement that:
1. Impedes the Individual’s rights to informed consent nor right to medical choice nor freedom of medical choice. The treaty provision of Article VI of this Constitution shall not apply in any way to this amendment.
2. Impedes the Individual’s right to medical privacy and freedom without individual and specific judicial warrant supported by Oath and affirmation of necessary cause to protect Society from Harm describing the Individual’s condition and danger it presents.
All people own all data derived from their body, mind, or biological functions, including but not limited to genetic, biometric, physiological, and psychological information. Medical data shall be treated as the private property of the Individual, inviolate and beyond the reach of corporate or governmental appropriation.
1. No person’s biological data, health record, or biometric profile shall be accessed, stored, or transmitted without the Individual’s informed, explicit, and revocable consent.
2. Any compelled or deceptive collection or monetization of biological data, directly or through digital systems, shall be deemed an unlawful search and seizure.
3. Congress and the States shall provide civil and criminal penalties for the unauthorized possession, trade, or commercial exploitation of personal health data.”
